Next Event:
‘Wild’ 2018 – Wildlife Information & Learning Day
‘Wild’ 2019
Exciting stuff this year for *wild*, WRI are holding this event exclusively for rehabbers (those amazing people who constantly save the day when it comes to injured or ill wildlife throughout the country) for what promises to be a blend of great speakers, practical advice and a healthy serving of fun and mingling.
Included are talks by Tina Aughney (Bat Conservation Ireland), Karen Mahon (Cool Planet Champion, Meath), Nicola Marples (Professor in Zoology, Trinity College Dublin) and Feargal Timon (Simulation Ireland) as well as lots of engaging learning opportunities in a relaxed and friendly environment.
It will be held in the fantastic Sonairte Eco-Centre and gardens in Co. Meath on Saturday 7th September from 10am – 4.30pm with refreshments and lunch provided.
If you’re a rehabber or you aspire to become one in the future, we’d love to see you there.
Programme – Saturday 7th September 2019
Venue: Sonairte Eco-Centre and Gardens, Laytown, Co. Meath
Sonairte is a visitor experience which promotes a love of the outdoors, organic produce, eco-awareness and sustainable living. The centre is run almost entirely by dedicated volunteers. It is open to individuals and families. The walled garden produces tasty, organic produce. It is a place like no other and has something for everyone. Stroll the Walled Organic Garden, explore the Nature Trail, have a picnic, visit the Shop and Information Centre, follow the Heritage Trail or call into the Bee Museum.
Sonairte: The National Ecology Centre Ltd is a registered non-profit taking Company Limited by Guarantee.
